Students, professors and charity organizations are brought together to debate arts education during the yearly symposium. This program serves as an incentive for the developing of future initiatives, says Kenny Slaught. The implements include sponsorships for arts students, grants to inititave that use Santa Barbara Bowl’s resources, and gathering instruments for students who need them. Furthermore, the organization funds many in-school and after-school initiatives, as well as Cottage Hospital’s children program. These programs are mostly offered in the areas close to the Santa Barbara Bowl, during its concert season. Students are provided free instruments and music classes in the Notes for Notes program. All these activities are managed by a big volunteer group.
