100 years ago, George Washington Smith founded the Spanish Revival architecture style. Smith dropped out of Harvard to become a bond trader, and later moved to Santa Barbara for his retirement. Due to the popularity of his designs however, Smith was encouraged to create new pieces. He combined the old with the new in his designs and only used authentic materials.
